Miss Abbey is approaching her first birthday at a scary pace. She is walking - 4 or 5 steps at a time, and is very proud of herself. She is quick to smile at strangers, usually from the perch of my 'kangaroo pouch'. She is quite vocal, and if you don't take the time to say hi, you might get screamed at. She loves life, and is determined to make things happen. She does not have a huge interest in food, but we're working on it. She is still nursing like a champ, all the time. ALL THE TIME as in over night, several times a night. She wakes with a smile, kicking and laughing as you pick her up. She lights up our life and reminds us again and again that she is a gift from God.
My precious little Critter man turned two in August. It seems so hard to believe that just a few short years ago we were praying for our little miracle to arrive. He is so full of energy and life. God is going to use him in a might and powerful way. Determined is the best word for him - we were determined to have him in our lives, and he has been determined to keep us on our toes. Austin is active, full of energy and curiosity. He is always wanting to know how things work, how to break it, and how to fix it. He has challenges to fight, but we are determined to make the best of every moment and teach him, as his favorite VeggieTales character says - God made him special and he loves him very much. I thank God every day for my miracle.
